To Be Touched is To Be Heard, To Be Heard is To Be Touched

Massage/Bodywork

Joanne practices Intuitive Massage as part of her bodywork.
She touches with care, sensitivity and uses her hands with the intent to hear, feel and see the client's needs.

Swedish Massage

Joanne and Client Massage (6K) A soothing massage, Swedish is a system of long strokes, kneading and friction techniques to relieve muscle tension and aid joint flexibility.

Relaxation/Stress Massage

This massage is great for stress relief, tight muscles, pain and tingling in arms and legs, injuries, or painful, restricted joints.

Sports Massage

For the physically active and the athlete, this massage is specially designed to meet the special needs of the athlete. The techniques are similar to those in Swedish and deep tissue massage, but have been adapted for the athlete.

Pre-event massage can help warm up muscles and improve circulation before the actual competition, but it can also energize or relax the athlete and help him or her to focus on the competition. Post-event massage can push waste products out of the body and improve recovery.

Trigger Point Release/Deep Tissue

This massage applies deeper, more focused pressure to "knots" trigger points, to break the cycles of spasm and or pain.

Hot Stone Therapy

HotStone (6K) In many shapes and sizes, smooth river stones are used during Hot Stone massage therapy to elicit physical healing, mental relaxation, and connection to earth energy. Heated to various temperatures, up to 140 degrees, the stones are placed during the massage. Warm stones encourage the exchange of blood and lymph in the body, and provide soothing heat for deep-tissue work.

Stones are placed in various places on the body to balance energy, or may be used by Joanne for specific trigger-point work.

Raindrop Massage

A combination of aromatherapy and reflexology, Raindrop Therapy uses essential oils that are dispensed on the back. Special techniques are used to apply the oils for deep penetration into the cells and tissues of the body.

The goal of Healing Touch is to restore harmony and balance in the energy system to help the person to self-heal. The quality and impact of the healing is influenced by the relationship between the giver and receiver.

Massage/Meditation Package

Joanne offers your choice of massage with training in Meditation techniques to promote relaxation and healing.

Some people might view regular massage therapy as a "splurge' or an indulgence saved for special occasions. I look at is as health maintenance. It is something I do that provides support for my body's immune and healing systems. Yes, it's relaxing, but did you know your lymph, endocrine and skeletal systems all benefit from regular massage? The massage I get this week might just be the one that prevents disease and illness next month, next year, or next decade. Joanne Pumper has been my massage therapist for several years. Without her expertise, skill and knowledge I am certain I would not have been able to have successfully completed the multitude of athletic endurance events I have. Simply put, Joanne is a miracle worker. She seems to instinctively know what needs to be worked on and how it needs to be worked. Through massage, Joanne is able to help my body facilitate any healing that is required. I have recommended her to many friends, who have in turn referred their friends. If you are a serious athlete, I can assure you that by making massage therapy a regular part of your training regime you will not only perform better on race day, but throughout your training and beyond.
